Tigers been around longer than humans, yet you keep chopping down their habitat, and yall the ones that are scared of them?

Filthy humans. A better title would be; Sumatran Tigers having their land destroyed while being abused and murdered by hairless, corrupt, greedy apes. Eat them all glorious Tigers!

Indonesia has already made two species of tiger go extinct in the last 90 years. Not long until this one is also gone. Shame on pathetic corrupt Indonesia.

I know folks are saying that the tigers just doing what it needs to do to survive, but so are those people. The folks in those villages don't look like they're living in luxury, they're just barely scraping by the only way they know how. See if two species fighting for their own survival.

Funny how all the Americans in the comments get on their high horse about the poor tigers and "trashy" villagers who can barely afford to eat, as if America isn't one of the most polluting, nature destroying country on the planet. Must be nice writing from the comforts of a modern house with air-conditioning and running water in a developed country. Reduce your consumptionism, and then criticize. If a tiger or a bear was threatening to eat you or your kid, you'd be going at it with a rifle, guaranteed, and you wouldn't even think twice about saving nature.

Yall do not have to judge them. Are the people moving into tiger territories or are the tigers moving into the peoples territory? What I'm saying is, maybe the population of tigers is increasing rapidly or vice versa. Yall be saying they are being killed because they are clearing forests and building houses😐the house you live in was literally a habitat of an animal.

So... they've killed 20 cattle between 2019 and 2021, that's like 7 cattle per year? Why don't these farmers have a specific area where they can take turns to do daily feeding for the tigers? that would solve both problems.
thedavid00100 27 päivää sitten
The tigers should be moved to a reservation or breeding facility. The villagers would eventually kill them if they constantly feel economically & physically threatened

all those people who repeat " those guys are encroaching on tigers lands" -stop. usually the people living in the areas where tigers are simple people who,by average, cost a lot less damage than you to the enviroment (even if you are vegetarian). they raise cattle the old way for their personal needs(mostly means milk, they rarely eat meat),they dont have chocolate and exotic fruits imported from all over(really "locally sourced foords),they usually dont have full(or any) acess to modern infrastructure and if they do its very basic. they dont buy new clothes every few weeks. those guys, like everyone else in the world, put their livlihood and the livelihood of their family first. i dont know if you prioritize your wildlife over your industries, but most probably your country's economy dependeds on some kind of enviromental damage . tons if anmals were extinct from western countries and are still being killed to this day by farmers who want to keep their living. i want to see those tigers preserved but those people, like everyone else, put their livelihood first and they wont sdacrifice themselves for any tiger well being. if people want to help those tigers they can donate to world preservations programs,do tigers/wildlife trips that will make the government understand the value of those animals(yes, fiscal value) ,promote measures that would allow better co existence betweeb us and the animals and pressuring the govs and people living near those animals to preserve those animals

Humans are the terrorists. Tigers are just being tigers, and of course people have to try to live on top of them. Not saying it's easy to pick up and move from these places, but there has to be coexistence. We cannot just keep killing these animals.

the human race and a victim and those who criticise those people aint morally superior. if people want them to let tigers die(after all tigers live on their territory) the world habe to help them finding ways to coexist with tigers or find alternative jobs...

It's much less likely you'll be attacked , if you live 6 miles away from the forest, rather than 6ft. As for working conditions, it's a complicated answer, with many factors. The point is society needs to think of it's most vulnerable people and not push them to the literal edge, becuase they have no other choice. There are too many humans ,that consume everything. Unlike the tiger that only can takes what it needs. When there is nothing left, people will ask again, how will we feed ourselves? In an age of the the quantum computer, space travel, and advanced medicine, it's a shame that we still have to ask that question.

and who has ownership of the land? the tiger is the registered owner? whats the difference between the tiger and the people? tiger has the means to attack them and they have better means to attack the tiger. they want to make a living. i really want to see those tigers preserved but those empty "condemnations" aint much help. those who want the tigers preserved gotta help those people preserve them(and of course they should be arousing concern in the indodensian public for wildlife conservation, but they gotta aid the locals with means and knowledge to imrpove their coexistence with wildlife)

So, whose monitoring the populations encroaching on wildlife habitats then? Civilization needs to step back and realize with every advancement more wildlife takes a hit and we end up losing beautiful creatures like Tiger's. Look up endangered species and it's sad to see what we are losing.

Can thank Indonesia's lack of regulation regarding extensive forest removal through Palm Oil. Those below the poverty line deserve to be able to better their lives, however at the same time Jakarta allows large territorial expanses native to Tigers to be cut down. Anyone familiar with Sumatra could see this coming for years...

Hey Vice News, Besides showing tiger terror on people, you must also show people's terror on this endangered specie. It is not tiger at someone's house but it is the people who are constantly encroaching the forest land meant for wild animals. Have you checked the population graph of Indonesia? I,m sure you have not because that would have been something out of the agenda of showing the reality. Tiger is no house pet that will play with your kids, it is a wild animal meant to hunt and eat flesh. You should advice the people to not do farming near a jungle which is a tiger habitat. I will request Vice to show the other side of the story. Thanks
your bruv Joey

Everyone talking about how tigers just follow their instincts to kill humans. No one talks about human instinct of killing mega fauna and colonising the planet which humans have done since 150 000 years ago. I understand we should protect and respect life on earth, but we have things called human rights and human dignity. Something animals do not have for a reason.
